美國聯邦調查局（FBI）4日在洛杉磯國際機場逮捕1名房地產經紀人張婉瑩，她涉嫌受中國政府指示，在美國境內監視台灣總統賴清德的兒子及其家人，並被控未依法登記而充當外國政府代理人。消息曝光後，FBI局長帕特爾（Kash Patel）今日發文警告外國敵對勢力：美國不再是從事間諜活動的安全之地。
帕特爾在X平台表示，涉嫌替中國政府在美國境內監視外國領導人的家屬，然後還企圖直接搭飛機溜回上海？「不可能」。他強調，FBI將追查任何威脅美國國家安全的敵人，無論他們躲在哪裡，都會將他們繩之以法。
